I'm thinking of getting a TRX set up for stability exercises for running. Prices range from £30 to £150+, what should I look for in a set and can anyone recommend a set?
Spotted this for £15, any reason not to?

Also are there any benefits in having a higher anchor point (opens up options of bigger motions i guess)?
Thanks
I love my trx. Mine is a 10+ year old forces bundle. Still looking good and no signs of wear. I’ve not got experience of any copies, but trx is certainly over built. Which is nice to know when you’re hanging from it. The foam handles are definitely a potential point of wear as you are shoving your trainers into the loops, so that’s definitely something to look at. Certainly since I got mine the suspension has improved. I use a climbing daisy chain and carabiner to make up for shortfalls in the mkI version. Suspension height helps instability which is great for training. You’re also going to need the height for any upper back work as your arms will be above your head, potentially to full reach - and the trx is above that. I’m a short arse 5’5” and tether mine at 7’ ish or above. Trx is not great for straight pull-ups (those pull up toggles look good) but with ingenuity you can get pretty solid workouts, and certainly a range of pulls. You have definitely got to concentrate on “squeezing “ out best form when using it in many exercises as it can get a bit cheaty. Mine goes in my rucksack when travelling in case I can squeeze in a session. It has also been really good for building fitness and mobility back up after training lay-off and injury.
I prefer the Jungle Gym XT. Just as well built as TRX, but I found having the ability to separate helped with the number and variations of exercises I could do. The stirrup things were great for securing your feet too. If you end up going for one let me know as I have a set of wall anchors you can have for price of postage.
I have a standard issue TRX that I got from Sport Pursuit when they were selling them at a sensible price. I really like it. It seems pretty well made and, as above, can be taken with you on trips and anchored to anything handy including hotel doors. Loads of different exercise options.
I used free weights and conventional bodyweight exercises too, but the TRX adds variety and different angles etc.
Not as good as Olympic rings, but does the job.
You can do stability exercises for running without them, 99.9% of people can't do a press up correctly, you can't beat the basics.
My gym has TRX and I have the Lidl Crivit version at home. The Decathlon one seems to have only one length adjustment, high on the central strap. TRX and Crivit also have adjusters near the hand/foot loops, allowing separate length loops. Not sure I've used them at different lengths, when yo do a lunge squat thing you only have one foot in anyway, but if you're in postion and want to make an adjustment, it's in reach rather than getting up and going to the adjuster near the ceiling. Height does help, as does a good bit of floorspace.
Gymnastic rings are all you really need, the TRX is overpriced for what it is (I have both but use the rings more).

@twinw4ll - do you have a link to a video to show the correct method?
I have the decathlon one. For all I used it for, it was great and feels suitably robust. Since moving house I no longer have rafters to hang it from so gathering dust.
