You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I started listening to them about 6 months ago when my father in law recomended the missing crypto queen. I then have listened to serial, up and vanished (current and death in ice valley. Are there any more along these lines people have enjoyed? I bloody love them and even look forward to my commute now.
Five live podcasts are brilliant! The End of Days about David Koresh and the Branch Davidians, leading up to the Waco siege. Absolutely fascinating. Most of those people were from Manchester and Birmingham. It goes into how they ended up there

Paradise is about tracking down the murderer of 2 British backpackers in Belize, 40 years on

And Manhunt: Finding Kevin Parle. Looking for a double murderer who’s disappeared from Liverpool, apparently murdered, and is then rumoured to be still alive and living in Spain
Ive been listening to Last Podcast on the Left for years now. It's a comedy true crime podcast so you have to be a twisted **** it is genuinely funny though. Henry zebrowski is a funny guy
It's only on Spotify now. It's up to episode 425 so they've covered loads. The one episode I've listened to time and time again is 'manifesto killers' cos they rip the piss out of Elliot Rodgers
The best episodes are on cults and events like the donner party, 911, JFK. (The comedy is dialled down on 911). There is tonnes of good content so it's all I need for my true crime fix
Superb. I'm reading jon ronsons 'them at the moment so I've learned a lot about waco and watched a documentary recently so that's right on the list.
These all sound amazing actually. I'm getting through them at a rate of knots so will do a list of the recommended ones.
Oh, off menu is my favourite comedy/food pod by the way.
Criminal thisiscriminal.com not always gritty true crime, butsome excellently bizarre stories. especially liked the plane hijack episode.
Hurricane (story of Rueben Carter as in Bob Dylan song) from the beeb if you liked Crypto Queen. similar production.
also not true crime, but i liked Tunnel 29 from BBC too. East berlin escape story
+1 for Hurricane.
Deep Cover was enjoyable podcast another drug running and Panama in the 80s.
Try 'those conspiracy guys'
They have some superb true crime podcasts and they add a bit of humour to the horrific details.
Two incredibly good ones for you!
- The Teacher's Pet. Really interesting as they uncover a lot of new evidence during the podcast and make some pretty big developments in the case.
- Shittown (think it is called S-Town and part of the Serial series or by the same guys or something). I think a guy contacts the serial makers about a crime in their village but the series turns towards a really interesting story about the guy who originally contacts the producers.
I've got a few others but can't remember the names, will ask my girlfriend when she comes home as she's obsessed with listening to them.
I will be keeping an eye on this thread for some to add to our list for any future road trips
also not true crime
Depends whose side you are on
Just finished fake heiress, enjoyed that.
To Live and Die in LA
Think we listened to all these for free on Acast
Tick!
Really excited to get into some of these!
Some great suggestions above, i'd add to the list, Mafia. It's about the american mafia, each episode deals with an individual, i've listened to them all (more than once)
There's a great one on Youtube called 'Crime scene To Courtroom'. It's almost exclusively dedicated to the 1995 Rettendon Range-Rover murders about which I'm really interested in. The guy who does it is a real professional and puts loads of effort into the channel. Recommended.
"Missing in Alaska" about the suspicious disappearance of a couple of US senators in a light plane over Alaska in the 70's. Really odd story that twists and turns like a twisty-turney thing.
Hail yourself fingerbang! A big old +1 to LPOTL if you like dark humour, also Sword and Scale for a more documentary style.
