The Dudes of Hazzard posted a video up today which brings back mixed memories...
I was lucky enough to ride the trail in question with Joe Barnes and a couple of other swift locals, but my memory is always marred by the fact that the night before, I had been repeatedly violently kicked in the neck by my partner at the time~ because I'd become a surrogate father to her daughter and invested a lot of time and energy in building a business and website based in the area, I felt trapped and couldn't leave. This led to further incidents, including destruction of my hard drive which had a lot of routes, data and artwork for my business on. Of course, I lost my rag and reciprocated destructive behaviour, but the worst I ever did was put my hands around her throat.
A big part of me feels I shouldn't share this, but at the same time, there must be a lot of dark shit that goes on behind closed doors that people need to get off their chest.
Just remember, if you're in an abusive relationship, get out as soon as possible, because you never know how bad things might end up.
Mine's much worse... as a kid I stole a tooth expecting a big payout from the tooth fairy. Sorry Chris.
