Does anybody ride trials in central London? I have just finished building up a cheap mod I bought of ebay and would like to get back in to the trials scene.

There be few trials riders in these (stw) parts, real trials riders are too busy out practicing to be posting on here!

That forum is incredibly frustrating, to post in anywhere but the newbie bit you have to be "accepted" by a mod, which can take months of posting in the newbie bit. If you want to buy/sell on the classifieds there you cant until accepted, so if you want to get into the sport and buy some bits you cant. IF you ask to be accepted you get bounced.

Well I really wanted to join to learn some more but it required investing a lot of time and effort to get accepted so in the end I concluded I couldnt be bothered wasting more of my life on forums. I suspect that means their forums are either full of very dedicated trials riders or people with too much time who talk about it a lot 🙂 Either way I'm just jealous!

I will give it a go, I spent my youth riding 26" trials and now I have moved to 20" as its the only thing that will fit in my flat!

Would just be nice to find other people in London

I also quite fancied a mod instead of my 26 - really should just get out and use it instead of the eternal new bike hunt!

There always used to be a london trials ride every Sunday starting from the Shell Centre (near Waterloo station on the South Bank), at some unspecified time (seemed to be between 10 and 11ish when I went).

Happened on 1st March:

Looking at the rest of the video, it isn't usually anywhere near that number of riders though.

That looks great, is there anyway to get in touch with the group?

Used to be on london-trials.co.uk, but that appears to be down. I guess someone on trialsforum would know.

longweight - nope, fraid not!

Good advice above, get out and people will find you, plus you'll re-hone the basics before you meet people to be embarrassed in front of 🙂

I suggest if you want to stop wasting time asking on here.

http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index.php?act=idx

Only problem is it may take you months to be allowed onto the main
forum.

Ah shame you got bounced.

Unlike this forum, The mods like to see that you can contribute well.

Like not taking great pleasure in pointing out that "you were the first"

Trials rider - 13 years .
