So I need to head to Oxford for a couple of days with work, and was thinking of driving from my home in Cambridge and trying to stop along the way for a few hours of riding on the way. I started googling the trails between here and there, but nothing obvious and supper fun comes out. I only have just moved to England so all the areas look about the same to me. Looking for nothing too 'enduro / downhill' but do want a little bit of gravity with some fun flowing corners and a decent bit of length.
My research brought up, Aston Hill and Woburn trails. Kind of think Aston looks like a bit of fun for a fast tear around to break up the drive...
Any help appreciated.
Assuming we are talking about trails and not trials 😉
If it's NOT raining, then the Aston hill trails are a lot easier to find on a first visit that those at Woburn, which are, with the exception of the small jumps area, unmarked and scattered around in the woods.
If it is wet however, woburn runs well, being mostly sandy, but Aston turns into a skating rink, and a rink at about 45deg to the horizontal, making it er, interesting.... 😉

aston it is then... looks ok for Tuesday... now to figure out parking in oxford......
Oxford has a pretty good park and ride system like we do in Cambridge, seemed like the best approach when I went before.
As for the riding part, I went to Aston hill once when it was muddy, I hated it, no flow, either slimy down or slimy abrupt up. Hopefully you'll find it more enjoyable though 🙂
