My friend has a respiritory condition and not very mobile, also has to be careful with the weather this time of year.

I was thinking that a basic treadmill set up indoors would be of benefit, or at least worth a try....so for that reason they don't want to spend hundreds on one just in case they don't get on with it.

I've seen there are basic ones around £200 ish on Ebay/Amazon. Are these any good as a starter?

We are talking trying to walk for under a minute I would say and build up from there, will get advice from the respiritory physio on a programme.

Just think it's worth them trying to see if it helps.

Any pointers for machines that would suits their needs would be great.

TIA

Looking at this myself - ideally something that folds up, max speed 12-15kph.

Also to add that I've looked on Facebook market place but have no idea what 2nd hand ones are ok.

those cheap ones are a bit ropey but should be ok for someone walking, maybe a bit of jogging.

heavy duty ones are *very* heavy and also big, don't underestimate the difficulty of getting it transported and instsalled.

I might splash out on one of these for next winter, if they are out by then and not far to expensive*

*it will be.
