Can I get into a semi decent treadmill for £200, the boss is well impressed with my carbon reign I bought b4 Xmas so this is a sweetener, I know nothing about them? I'm of the thought u should only run if chased by a lion/bear.
Same you're not local, I want to sell one (new £600) for about that. It's never used (in fact been used fewer than half a dozen times).
So, think about whether it would get any usage and is it worth having one...
What Flap jack says. I am a keen runner and I use one occasionally when I have to. If I wasnt enthusiastic I wouldnt go near one. For someone who doesnt love running they are a waste of money IMO (as well as space)
All this ^ indoor training is always a misery unless you're really motivated. She not appreciate £100 of trainers and some kit?
I'm going to put in a good word for treadmills, I bought one over the summer not really expecting it to get much use but I've already been on it quite a lot. As well as avoiding the cold rain, it's also a nice surface when your legs are a bit tired and sore/injured. I watch TV to avoid boredom. I guess if you don't actually enjoy running it might be a bit of a waste of space, but I can easily while away an hour on it.
I got mine for about £180 I think via ebay, it was a decent model. Low-end ones are reputedly crap and rattly, mine is pretty solid.
I got a half decent "Roger Black" model off Ebay locally for 100 notes. More or less unused (as I think the majority of them end up being). My missus is an addicted runner and was out in all weathers, often more than once a day. She took to it like a duck to water whenever it was 5hitty outside. Must of been an OK model as I guess it did about 3K miles worth before a bearing went. Was easy enough to change and away to go again. She has since discovered the turbo which is far easier on the knees and allows her to watch TV at the ame time so I just gave the thing away to a mate
