Hi all,

Looking for a tripod for my Panasonic GM5, which is as small and light as possible, but still relatively stable (no zoom lenses at the moment, but maybe in the future), and can extend to at least 1.2m high. Budget of around £50.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Duane

A jobypod can be surprisingly useful for low light photography when travelling.

If I'm carrying a tripod I want something with a decent ball head that extends high enough for me to use comfortably when standing up. Can't think of anything new that does this for £50. Sometimes an old e.g. manfrotto pops up on ebay for cheap though.

I've got a Velbon Luxi F, which is fine for most general stuff; although not massively rigid; it's definitely in the 'travel tripod' category.

I'm not sure they make them anymore though, although there will be something equivalent.

There's a kind of review here.....

The UT-43Q on this link, looks like the nearest equivalent they now do:

Manfrotto Be Free would the job. May be over budget new, but it's very solid for the size.
