You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Going to head across to France with the family shortly and will hopefully be trying out the uplift and trails in the Morzine area. We will just be a family bumbling around on the blue or easy trails and not doing anything extreme. We will also only be on the trails for 3 or 4 days out of 10 as there are other non-bike activities we want to do.
I'm currently trying to find a travel insurance package for the family and want to make sure that we are covered should we have an accident on the trails. However most of the searches so far on the web are pointing toward "Downhill MTB" which is classified as "extreme" or "high risk".
Does anyone have any advise or suggestions on where to look for the correct level of cover
many thanks......
I use Harrison Beaumont.
Never had to claim but they take a sensible approach to the classification of mountain biking.
They include Mountain Biking (ex stunts/ racing) in their standard sport cover.
Drop whoever it is you've been looking at a call is the best advice.
I recently did a week in the Atlas Mountains, with some uplift due to accessibility etc... Then rode 30km+ back down again pretty much every day. My chosen insurer was Dogtag and after a quick chat explaining the itinerary and them explaining each of the insurance category's, I made a choice I was happy with and it wasn't the full on extreme one. Comfortable in the knowledge if I did get it wrong I had the cover
Thanks very much for the information - I'll take at look at these 2 insurance companies.
Cheers.....
I have just renewed our family annual holiday insurance. For the last 12 years we have been with Snowcard but they have just hiked up the renewal by 55% to £481.
Did a lot of searching and finally gone with Dogtag at less than half the price.
