Afternoon all
As per the title, I'm looking for some advice on travel / holiday insurance for our family road trip to the Alps in a couple of weeks time.
Here's the itinery:
- Driving, lots of driving
- Road riding (me x 2, Mrs B x1)
- Gentle bike commute to watch Le Tour (All 4 of us)
- Day of DH MTB at Alpe D'huez (Me + No.1 Son)
- Day of hiking at Alpe D'huez (Mrs B and No.1 Daughter
I suppose its the very definition of "mult-activity" all of which are potentially loaded with risk.
What's the hive mind advice?
Ta in advance.
Snowcard for me, but it's bloody expensive. Just paid ~£700 for our family annual
Day of DH MTB at Alpe D'huez (Me + No.1 Son)
This is the killer bit. You'll probably have to pay DH MTB cover for the whole family for the full 2 weeks...
If it was me I would be going for yellow jersey for the folks doing downhill and checking the wording on something more basic for the others. (I think e.g. nationwide bundled insurance would cover the hiking and road riding). There may be better insurers for mtb, but yellow jersey have unusually clear wording for mtb coverage.
