I've broken my arms before, maybe I'm a bit of a ponce but trapping your finger is worse.
Just lifted a clothes hanger thingy up and it collapsed down on my finger....to open it back up you have to lift it up to extend it back out....except for a short while that would increase the pressure on my finger which was trapped good and proper....and I've only got one hand now with which to do it.

I screamed like a girl and got sweary afterwards. Afterwards I decided to kill the clothes hanger to death. Just then, some window cleaners popped up without knocking and were greeted with the sight of me killing said clothes hanger to death stark naked.
I've managed to close a car boot on my finger as well but that wasn't actually as bad....
Opening the door to pay them was a little awkward....
MrsMC only has use of her right hand. Guess which one she shut in tbe car door? Shut as in "clicked shut and need to use the door handle to open it again except that I can't open it with the free one".
By the time I'd got round the car to open the door she was looking a little pale. As was the finger nail that subsequently dropped off.
Anyway, in only vaguely related news, she is waiting for a third operation to pin the finger she broke 13 months ago in her bad hand. She gets quite sweary when she knocks it against something, as you are prone to doing if you don't have full control over the limb!
