You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Got one in my left shoulder following a weekend of riding two weeks ago now. Unbelievably painful, got Gabapentin but it just zonks me out and does nothing for the pain. I'm on three tables a day - my friend bless her is on 12 a day! I don't know how she manages to stay upright.
Anyhow, any non GP suggestion on how to sort it out and how long it might take to get better?
Find a table corner and stick something on it (a towel maybe). Or find a chair where you can lean hard against it. . Or a tennis ball. Stick it either front of shoulder (in front of the joint) or between the shoulder blades on the side where it hurts . Find a sore spot and hold onto it until it's no longer sore.
Or buy a theracane from Amazon.
Sounds like a muscle has spasmed.
1. Does it hurt raising your shoulders to your side (deltoids or trapezius)
2. Hurts when you're leaned forwards and bring your elbows to the ceiling (all sorts of muscles)
Or just go see a good physio.
