Have an iPad mini.
Was given an iPhone 4s last week and have been using it.
Wish to copy over contacts from my iPad
Tried plugging into computer which recognises as new iPhone and asks if I want to set up as new iPhone or backup from my iPad.
Will I loose everything from phone?
Any other ways to copy contacts?
Thanks
I think that if you log both devices into the same iCloud account your contacts will sync automatically.
What Julian says. Connect to same iCloud IDand makemsure sync contacts is switched on for borh
Do you have iCloud enabled on the iPad?
If it was me, I would set up the 4S as a new phone. Once you sign into iCloud, as part of the setup process, it will sync your contacts from the cloud.....which in turn should have the contacts synced from the iPad.
iCloud enabled but full
No need for icloud to be full, you must have picked backup to iCloud. I would turn that off and backup to your computer via itunes. I have icloud for contacts/photos/mail ... but not full backup amd mine is 10-15% full ?
