Has anyone had experience or knowledge of how long one should wait following pneumonia (hospital x 5days) before returning to training?
I've heard about people returning too soon and suffering ongoing chest infections which I am keen to avoid.
It's been 3 weeks now and can walk medium pace x 40mins... woo hoo!

Just build it up slowly and listen to your body. That will probably involve taking things more slowly that you could ever imagine, but you'll get there. I too had pneumonia in 2014.

Oh hello, I think u are a fellow physio?
I have read a bit and using working knowledge reckoned 6weeks to let lung tissue recover before doing anything that involved any perceived cv effort.
Does that sound logical to you?

Cheers. A challenge to keep sane off the bike.

Seems reasonable. How you define perceived CV effort is however the clincher though. Have fun trying to keep sane.
