7 pin trailer wiring. All lights work except for indicators, both sides. Bulbs look ok. Could this be a fuse? Indicators work on car.
You will need to use a multimeter. Check the continuity of the Earth too.
Scotchloks, bypass relay or proper plug in wiring harness?
Plug in another board/rack/trailer to see if it's a problem with the car.
And as above, you need a multimeter
No other trailer to test. It’s a nine pin socket. I’m not sure of the gubbins inside. Previously when signalling and they worked, a little trailer light would flash up on the dash at the same time as the turn signal
multi meter it is
First thing I'd check is inside the plug that connects to the car. 7pin seems to have a special way of wires getting loose.
You may already have done this.
Can you rule out a trailer issue by borrowing a trailer / lighting board? £15 in Halfords.
Update: dodgy connection on both. Some pins were a bit corroded (white crust) on the vehicle. Cleaned up and splayed some of the pins a bit and all good.
oddly when testing I got 43v on the flash circuit so maybe I’ve got a problem with the multi meter too! (car so assume 12v)
I replace the actual socket on the car every couple of years. It gets blasted by salty crap all winter. I blast it with TechCote TCS200 too to reduce corrosion.
Bike carrier and trailer electrics themselves get an annual strip, clean and protect too.
