I have the misfortune of having to come to an event near Trafalgar Square next Sat/Sun, i will need to park as close to Trafalgar Square as possible overnight.
Can anyone recommend anywhere?
😆
Just search for an NCP, and have your credit card handy.
You could enquire about the empty plinth.
Gonna be costly..
Can I ask where your coming from and going to? Reason being when I have had to go to London for a weekend I tend to park in Stanmore tube station, junc 4 of the M1, £3 a day during the week and £1 a day at weekends, (paid £2 to park for a weekend not that long ago) then just get a tube ticket and get into the city that way, just a thought.
Why do you need to drive right into the centre of London? Can you not drive to a suburb and get the train/Tube in?
Don't think you'll be able to park overnight anywhere near TS, other than an NCP or similar. It's because of the War on Terror.
Need to be right in the centre with the car unless someone is going to help me carry an industrial espresso machine on the tube?? 😀
Cost is not an issue as its going on company credit card 😆
I was going to just turn up and find an NCP (we have an NCP account) but i understand that finding a space may be difficult.
NCP in brewer street (SoHo) is close (not noticed any closer).... though if cost is not an issue perhaps getting a small haulier to do the job would better?
There's a carpark right off trafalgar square on cockspur street.
There's spaces on Pall Mall - cheaper than most and usually plenty of room. Quick cut through to TS. Assume most people think there won't be any parking in that area so don't bother trying...
If you do plan to ride in by tube, check the TFL website beforeheand to make sure the line you will be using isn't scheduled for a restricted service. If a section of line is closed and a replacement bus service is in place (common at weekends), it'll take forever to get where you are going.
Train from the suburbs would be the best way to go. Free parking in London at weekends is not easy (if impossible). You really have to know the local geography.
