This thread is over 13 years old 🙂 OMG.
I take photos of tractors, seed drills and stuff and send to my Dad. He grew up on a farm in Ireland in the 50s/60s so loves to see anything old and agricultural.
He even likes the big new stuff 🙃

We want more 🙂
To go with the one up there

How do I post images? I have some beauties from a recent show.

Ta mate, will give it a go.

Job done!

Without any doubt I'll be buying a 1981/2/3 David Brown when I retire.
I want to see a 1/4 mile drag race on boggy ground with these things before I can commit.
Any body got a ten second tractor? 😀
The guy I sit next to at work. It was many days until he could joke about this....
Didn't realise they have tether straps on the engines so that is why fails always pivot forwards away from the driver.
Some real beauts up there ^^^ 🙂
@chestrockwell it's traditional to save the best to last. I have absolutely zero need to own a tractor, but I'd love a Massey Ferguson 135.
Ah, right, I'll remember that. The Case International should have been last then!
I also have no need for one but that is a minor detail.
Anyone got some GT85?

I'm glad this thread popped up. Took these on a holiday in Spain back at the end of September.

Some pictures of the Knaresborough YF tractor run earlier in the year.

In the tradition of saving the best until last I present this little beauty!
Pictures taken at Pately Bridge show ground where they stop for dinner. Well worth a trip, watching them all descend in to the town is impressive.

Fordson Major?

Out for a paddle this morning and saw this Massey.

Epic! Thread. 14 years ... Oldest thread with least posts? It's like a fine wine maturing over the years :).
I must get back into it more:)

Always had a bit of a soft spot for the XL cab on an International ❤️
First tractor cab I ever used that seemed like it was supposed to be operated by something vaguely human shaped 😆
1455XL is likely to be my forever favourite tractor 😍😍
A little WD40 will get that going again...

Nice! Regularly drive a 7840 so have soft spot for early 90s fords.
Another 90s Ford - me and Dashed jnr in the 8340
Oh ffs, why is this forum so shit. Will get the image embedded tomorrow from my laptop 😡
Oh - I just remembered spotting some beauts in Ireland last year

Hopefully it works this time... Picked him up from school in it tonight - last day of term treat!!

There's a steam rally on at astle park near Holmes chapel this weekend. They had a tractor rally with countless examples that made me think of this place.
I once almost bought a small-holding in France which would have come with one of those Porsche tractors as part of the deal. Long story. Didn't work out.
^ that is a cool wagon.
There was a tractor rally from Zell am See to the Großglöckner Alpin Straße toll booth. I've got plenty more to show
And don't worry there was an old Unimog !!

I took about 35 photos for my Dad
We had one of those Fendt GTs (Tool carriers) on the farm I worked on in Germany. Very handy little tractor and great to drive. Ours had a cab (or sorts) though
Had to look it up but that Eicher Mammut 4WD is a thing of beauty
@welshfarmer - I can email loads more to you if you'd like to see them including a weird local Grey Fergie variant
Something more modern

"Ein bisschen Blech, ein bisschen Lack, fertig ist der Hanomag".
Mum used to work for the UK distributor of those HSM machines 😉
Thanks ElShalimo
All go here today with some big kit. Taking the top out of an old oak directly above my workshop. The Merlo is at full stretch of 26 metres (85 feet!)

@welshfarmer that must be OTM's if it's local.
Anything millable in the base? Or is it hollowed out from the old limb tear?
Yep. OTMs. We have left the stem at about 35 feet to pollard out ( hopefully). There are a few decent lumps of limb timber i may mill into someting. Rest is only firewood really
