@redthunder - a couple of photos from Europe from Septmeber

This was weird: an almost new big Unimog being used as a road-train style coach at Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. There is no dignity in demonstrating your towing prowess by dragging fat tourists between car parks
[img] [/img]

This was much better, a municipal forest worker pulled up outside the town hall in this beauty in Waldkirch, Schwarzwald. It was clean as it was being prepared for the festival where they bring the cattle down from the high pastures for the winter

Bloody hard work chipping. We use to have one of them at work, I preferred our older chipper as it could take bigger wood 🙂

Had to give back a tractor mounted chipper, realised we were felling stuff just to test the chipper. Things like whole 10" dia. willow trees, just back the chipper up to the tree and hoist the tree into the feed.

That is a road roller, when the road is surface dressed with bitumen and loose chippings it is used to press the stone into the tar.

According to DVLA it's a Bomag - I'll be damned if I can find it exactly but looks similar to the BW 16 R.

get ready to bid (hopefully no paywall) down under collection up for sale....just 1 or 2

and relax with a log drink to read this article...most Australians live in cities but national news covers tractoring:

Grid Reference.

More old machinery, mostly pumps, and mystery massive ramp.

Just for reference. Some of these videos may indeed have been in South Gloucestershire as the farm he works on certainly does contract work all the way up past Lydney.

Combining last year

And some vintage action from 1995

From the other pics on Flickr it's definitely a Case. Remains of the grille lying on the ground in front of it are wrong for a NH one.

Hope the driver got out OK!

Not often I get the chance to contribute to this thread, but I was out for a walk yesterday along a regular route from Biddestone, and one particular field was being plowed by a couple of tractors going backwards and forwards and kicking up dust. The particular field they were plowing is one where I’ve seen hares in the past, although not for a few years, but yesterday there were two, one lolloped past me at the top of the field, but not close enough to get a photo with my phone, the other one kept moving down the field as the tractors got close. Lovely to see they’re still around, and on a beautiful afternoon.

Not a picture I took so don't know if it's allowed here but seems a good a lace as any.
What's that at 11:15? Seems to be genius, why don't I see more of them?

What’s that at 11:15? Seems to be genius,

It's some kind of complex turn around thing.

The plough still didn't go back down so quickly, so there is still a single or double end row to plough when the main rows are done. I'm not sure it is genius - more a solution looking for a problem....
