You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Had a mate who had the evil kneivel camper/motor home it had a ramp that slid out the back he also had the normal bike plus the eagle jet bike think you can tell spent a lot of time at his house mind you I had bigtrak and trailer and I thought it was quite good mind you was quite a geeky kid 😀
I was fortunate enough to have quite a few G1 transformers as they were sent over from the USA from Aunty/Uncle birthday/christmas, but they got sold with boxes a few years ago to build my Solaris
Really wanted some Mobile Armoured Strike Command stuff +
Always looked quite cool
But if I had got one, it sure as hell wouldn't have been a Quickshit II
Lets hope not 😀
Well if you fancy getting some modern toys then it is 20% of all toys at Smyths Toys this weekend. Planning on getting some Technics Lego as could never have it when I was younger and now I can afford it so why not
Did any of you get to smell a Care Bear?
Man they smelled good, like scented plastic heroin.
Don't get me started on the scent of an AT-AT's inner chamber.. SSSSNIFFFF! AAHHhhh
Had lots of fun with my Millenium Falcon and X-wing - as said above I also loved the smell! Action Man I also loved, especially my SAS set with the powered dingy and the pop on tent. Mask toys were okay but I think I was on the cusp of growing out of that type of toy.
Bigfoot was good and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as it looked!
Really wanted the Lego car chassis - had a reasonable amount of Technic, but none of the really big sets like that. Loved my dune buggy and motorbike sets, but preferred the universal sets and being creative.
Just back from Slim Jr's first trip to Hamleys.. Inspired by the recent toy/tamiya threads

What do you get [s]yourself[/s] him?
Mamod steam engine - my wifebought me one for my 40th.
Harry The Spider I had one of those Eagle's and killed my Big Trak by leaving batteries in it that leaked all over one of the circuit boards 🙁
I also wanted a Raleigh Burner in blue. I think not getting one is what lead me into the downfall of mountain bikes.
I had one of those Eagle's
Still got it?
I've been bidding on ebay for them but they go for daft money.
HtS - have my name on a birfday unimog. And/or a great big Lego technic Merc truck
Unfortunately no 🙁 Wish I still had my SHADO 2 mobile and Interceptor looking at ebay prices.
Why does it say "SHAGG" on it?
I recognise that ship actually - it's from a movie (only in white) I think. Can't quite place it though.
Ah - it says SHADO doesn't it...!
The other thing that I want is one of these…[img][/img]but looking at the going price I’d have to sell a bike to afford it.
I'm sure you could pick upa fixer upper 🙂
Wanted Castle Grayskull but didn't get it.
Also, wanted a 1000 piece jigsaw, but got a 750g box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.
Millennium falcon for me too.
Luckily I owned the Evel Kineval stunt bike AND his rocket bike.
Spoiled brat or what?!
I sold my eagle transporter on ebay a few years ago, no box though and scratched up a fair bit but it still dropped the centre pod and the sprung landing gear worked, i got £35 or £45 for it so i was chuffed.
A boy down the road had one and he hated it after a while.
My brother had a Mamod steam engine but he hardly used it in favour of playing with a full sized Fowler (this one) that lived at the farm across the road lord of the isles
I wanted a Scalextric but my mum said no, because it was "for boys". I also wanted a BMX and she said the same thing about that
Wow what a thread. I wanted a lot of things as most kid do and being the only son with three sisters I did get spoilt . That said not half as much as my neighbour who had every new star wars figure or model as soon as they came out. Always wanted a bigtrac, funny how something with I think it was 8 batteries would go flat in about half hour . My favourite toy was evel knievel stunt bike. Always wanted tamiya models but a little to expensive I was told.
Hankered after the Evel Knievel stuff, but had to play with a mate's until he trashed it.
I've been bidding on ebay for them but they go for daft money.
Sadly, I had both models, unused & boxed (as preferred all the Captain Scarlett & U.F.O. stuff), but gave them to my almost-brother-in-law back in the Nineties. My older brother took the rest of the toys for his brood; I seem to have only the Dinky DB5 (w.o. passenger or working eject) and the Daktari Landie as minimal mementoes of the Seventies.
Well I can only now assume that I was spoiled rotten. I had the lot - train set, Scalextric (with Goodwood chicane), nice bike, Action Man with Space Capsule, Lego (from Germany before it was widely known in the UK), Meccano. Oh and my first car!
I really, really wanted a pair of chelsea boots.
