I’ve been looking at some 2007ish RAV4’s as they seem to fit the bill for our needs. Just doing some initial research and looking for anyone with some ownership experiences they could share?
Petrol preferred (assume Diesel vehicles have DPF, EGRs, dual mass flywheels, turbos etc that could mean more expense to fit it?).
Manual or auto (if the autos are reliable? Are they CVT’s?)
Keen to know what the standard service items & intervals are plus any bigger items that I should keep an eye out for. Any common faults?
Looking around sub 70k miles. There’s a lot of them out there!
Don't buy diesel at that age unless you are sure of its heritage.
I had an 08 one and found the steering didn't self centre well. However have a 62 plate one now and very pleased.
Ones with a spare wheel the rear tailgate doesn't open to 90degrees. Mine were XTR with out the spare wheel.
Ride is firm
