hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice when it comes to purchasing a tow bar for a saloon toyota avensis
[img] [/img]

What sort of tow bar would be needed to mount a tow bar bike rack like this one http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_804901_langId_-1_categoryId_165477

How much would it cost?

Thanks for your help 🙂

Jedai

2 types of balls - swan neck and standard
I had a swan next fitted to my Honda civic
Was circa 400 quid

My old man has a witter quantum removable one
He bought the kit & garage fitted foc as it was a new car

We both run Thule ride on 901 's

If you have park sensors the removable one makes
Sense

Also forget halfrauds
Look at a good independent for brands like
like Pendle, altea or Thule these guys know how to
Make good racks that last & spares

My Thule rack is 8yrs old and still in great condition

Dab thanks for your reply. What if you have a bike rack that can be plugged into your car's rear lights? Does that require a special tow bar?

For supply only can't beat these on price.
Go for the Thule, same as supplied by Toyota at half the price.
Fitted one on my 07 Avensis.

Just ask for single 7 pin electrics* ( unless you want to tow a caravan - then you get 2 )
The folk at the garage will do all the work

***It's that bit that connects brake / indicators etc and yes you need it

autow in Perth are really helpful for all your parts
I'd suggest if you get the bar & electrics kit the garage do it foc since you're spending big ££££

Been looking at an avensis diesel estate - nice cars
