every other day or so, all of a sudden my mousepad will play up and the cursor wont go where i want. it takes me all my time to get the mouse to the off button where ill boot up again and itll be fine.
thought it may be software related, but ive just plugged a usb mouse in and that works fine. but the touchpad still all over the place until i reboot.
anything i can do about it or is it a lost cause?

My old Dell laptop did this, bought a new front facia/trackpad for the laptop and it didn't fix it, so it must have been something on the motherboard. IIRC it used to be OK when the laptop was first switched on, but get worse as it warmed up.
(the replacement part was 'new' but some sort of refurbed grade A item so I suppose technically it could have had the same fault)
P.S Use the tab or windows key and then the cursors to reboot the lappy 🙂
Is it a HP by any chance?
its a packard bell. does that mean anything to you as far as the touchpad goes?
