We have a "new" addition to the office at work

What pods make decent coffee? Not that choosy on style: Americano, cappuccino, flat white (No latte though - I'm not a pervert)

Anyone got any great options for me ?

Ta

They don’t do a flat white afaik. Costa Latte are ok, as are the latte macchiato caramels if you fancy something sweet.

They’re decent for milky coffees with no effort, but no match for even a cheap espresso machine, even with my ham fisted milk frothing and terrible tamping.

The ‘filter coffees’ are bad, no where near as good as normal filter pot. Acceptable with cream, but rough black.

We’ve had ours for a long time now, 5+ years and it gets regular use, but lockdown has shown its weaknesses, and we’ve bought a half decent filter machine and when the house moving is down a proper grinder and espresso machine are near the top of the shopping list.

I have two go-tos, because I like a 'long' coffee and most of the range is espresso-a-likes.

L'Or XL is the better of two full-cup coffees, I think Kenko being the other? It's my mainstay first-brew-of-the-morning.

L'Or Latte Macchiato Caramel as a treat, but more expensive as one brew takes two pods.

Oh, and pro tip, have a look on amazon.fr - there seems to be a greater range on the continent than here.

Thanks prawny. I agree but am a bit outvoted and the machine is already there.
It makes OK drinks (and there is a kenco flat white as I bought some the other day. Mostly wondering what brand makes the "best" coffees) that are easy and need minimal washing up etc - we're a bit short on facilities

Going to descale it & see what that does

addit: thx cougar !

The kenco 100% Columbian makes more than acceptable coffee, all be it not full normal mug size (unless you're an animal and put too much milk in it). Rest of the pods I’ve tried a find a little weak and inciped

We have the kenco americano XL.

As others have said, it's like the best of a bad bunch. Basically convenience and one step up from instant.

L'Or XL is better than the Kenco XL IMHO.

+1 for the L’Or XL and Kenco Americano Grande.

You can usually get 3 packs for £10 when on offer in supermarkets.

There was one where I worked a few years ago. The coffee tasted better if you brewed less of it. Stick to the suggested 'dose' at least and experiment with less
