Long shot but you never know, it was busy this morning though I think I was likely a long way behind must folks unless they did a very different route to me. Lost a black tool roll at dyfi Forest today.
Mostly rode the climachx loop plus elephants, Hazel bluith, dickos and something off the side of vavavoom (right at the spit coming out lower down the fire road) typically only noticed at the end of better late than never so the only place I know it isn't is Tony the tiger 😒

Looks like this

And will have among other things, a nice dynaplug tool in it 🙄

Anyone happens to find one if you wouldn't mind giving me a shout would be grand.

Whether or not you find it, (hope so) or get a replacement, get a couple of Chipolo One trackers, and pop one inside. They often do special offers of a set of four for 45% off. They are flat plastic discs with a keyring hole, have a replaceable CR2032 battery, unlike Tile, and work on iOS and Android.
If you install their app, it’ll bleep loudly at you if something leaves your possession, and if you use the alert, it’s very loud.

Oh ta, will have a look at those the bleeping when I lose it would be handy!

Annoying thing (or rather one of several, I also looked at it before I set off and thought I'm not sure that'll stay put there) is in hindsight I think I heard it fall off, remember thinking "that didn't sound like a lump of slate" but thought no more of it.

Think it's probably half way down hazel - though that's from a half recalled shadow of a memory - but by the time I twigged the bike was in the car I didn't have time to go looking on foot, especially to not find it, then drive home.

In all my years of cycling the only bag that ever fell off my bike was a fancy and expensive tool rool (Silco Asymmetrico) strapped under the seat. Luckily I felt it go and so didn't lose it. In fact it kept coming loose so I sent it back for a refund.

Never again - anything under the seat is in proper bags only with a failsafe fixing, especially as like the OP I carry a few expensive items in it and sometimes my keys...

Might be worth tapping up the locals, Dave at bike Corris for a start, they will all be out on the regular Tuesday night ride tomorrow. I'll keep an eye out next Saturday.....

Cheers davespike - I did drop a quick email over to https://beiciomynydddyfi.org.uk/ but will try Corris too.

Yeah, fortunately no keys, there but for the grace of God and all.

That being said the wrath of Mrs brain when I asked her to drive the 4 hours each way with the spare would at least have meant i would have made time to go up and find the thing in that instance 😂
