Spigen cases are good. Glass screen protectors seem to be much of a muchness, but it might be worth getting it put on by someone who is used to doing it.

Look for thin cases, I have a 6a and the rubber case makes it to thick. I'm planning on getting a thinner one

I really like my peak designs case:

It's magsafe compatible and also has a mechanical lock which you can use with various mounts.

I've got a handlebar mount for it and it's absolutely rock solid.

Doesn't come with a screen protector but the case has a raised lip.

I have an Otterbox commuter case on mine. It's chunky but great protection.  I also have an Otterbox screen protector, it's much better quality than the generic two for a fiver screen protectors you get on Amazon. Don't forget, there is a screen protector setting in the Pixel settings which increases touch screen sensitivity if you have a protector fitted.

Speigen for a case - phones seem to last with just the rubber impact shell on these days. The better screen protectors go on more easily than the cheap ones, but once they're on they're all the same

Don't buy the Google case. I had one for my 6a and it lost all rigidity so when I inevitably dropped my phone there was no protection and the screen smashed.

Bought a Spigen for £10 off eBay - it's very nice and solid. Think they'll be my go-to for future phones.

Search for Bastmei Google Pixel 7a on Amazon. They are very thin and while might not give ultimate drop protection they have a very grippy surface (it's a hard texture not rubbery) so less likely to slip out of your hands - grippier than any other thin case I've seen, the phone feels like a bar of soap when out of it. Friends and family I've shown have since bought. They have a 6a case too.

I think a tempered glass screen protector helps give a little extra drop protection too.

I quite like these cases

And screen protectors with a notch for the camera are way better imo as they don't fill with pocket fluff like the round cut out ones and don't suffer from colour cast/reflections which protectors which cover the camera can cause.  Have been very happy with these

I can never work out if posh screen protectors are worth the money. The last few times I’ve bought Spigen EZ fit which do fit absolutely perfectly. But they’re £20 ish for 2 which seems like a lot considering eBay ones are a couple of quid. I can’t stand any amount of wonk though, it drives me nuts.

For me screen protectors are not worth it but then I don't put my phone in a pocket with keys or coins or thrown in a handbag. If you do carry it along side scratchy things then I could see the benefit. A nice case with a raised rim seems to protect against drops as the phone lands on the case not the glass.

As above I've got spigen screen protector at the moment.

It seems better than the cheap ones but time will tell. I bought cheap ones for my last phone and they would lift slightly at the edges and end up being a bit unsightly.

The current spigen one is a straight piece of glass with no holes for the front camera or shaped edges so maybe that has something to do with it.

It comes with a rectangular clip on mounting frame as well so it's easy to get it on straight.

Don't stress about air bubbles too much.. Get the worst out by massaging the screen and and really small bubbles seem to dissipate over the next few days.

Just follow the instructions and it's dead easy... The key thing is not to get any dust trapped so do it in a clean and calm environment.

I bought this one, been on the phone for a few weeks and seems ok. £8.99 for case and 3 screen protectors.

Edit: Why is Amaazon so shit? How the hell do you post an amazon link???

Editx2: Ah, so removing the http and the ? did the trick, not sure which one worked though...
