Did Berghaus lose the contract, or is it just that Rab are paying more?

I noticed a lot of branding splashed about tonight.
Julia was doing an article wearing Rab one minute, then she had Mammut slapped all over her coat and gloves in the next scene. All change since Mr Craven used to wear his unbranded coat, jumper, shirt and tie!

And did anyone believe that guff about losing radio contact with the producer when the rescue dog was trying to find her?

I expect this level of patronising crap from Top Gear, but not from Countryfile.

deffo the Merrel that colournoise pointed out. I liked it (apart from the colour) and noticed the brand.

Julia often wears RAB, but I've seen her wear all sorts of different brands. Berghaus, I believe, used to be the brand of choice for newsreaders doing OB's. I think the Country File crowd wear whatever they choose to wear.
Alice Roberts on Coast always wore Arcteryx, and I've seen a couple of others wear it as well. Ellie never seems to wear obvious brands. Frankly what does it matter, it's stupid when you get American programmes like Mythbusters where logos are covered up with duct tape on tshirts and hats. Just looks daft.

It makes me laugh when the presenters on CF seem to be always wearing coats, hats and gloves when everybody around them is just wearing a shirt! "Let's be safe out there"

Matt's Jacket tonight was 66 North. It's an Icelandic company. I've got a couple of jackets by them and its quality gear.
