[Closed] Toner recycling

At work, I'm a "green champion," part of a team trying to implement greener practices within our company. Energy saving and recycling and all that happy stuff.

A main part of our business is digital printing - multifunction copiers and the like. As such, we generate a sizeable amount of waste toner cartridges.

We've had an agreement in place with a company to have these collected. Finding a company was tricky as most have very tightly defined lists of which models of cartridge they'll accept. The company we went with said they'd take everything, with any profits going to charity.

This has been place for a while, however they've been unreliable at collection and they've just binned us off as they're not making enough money from the (predominantly Canon) cartridges we've been sending them.

We've been left with a mountain of cartridges which we need to get rid of sooner rather than later. I've not had much luck in finding a replacement company so far and I really don't want to have to send them all to landfill if I can help it.

So, question is, has anyone else had any experience of this? What does the company you work for do with all their waste toner cartridges?
