My second small person is about to start crawling.

All our routers, phones and heating controls are on the floor in a big mess of cables. I've found covers for the plug sockets, so I don't need to story about her turning off the internet.
Annoyingly, none of the devices can be wall mounted so I'm struggling to think how to keep the small person away from the devices and cables.

I thought about putting them in a box, but that could lead to quite a warm box (maybe a fire risk?)

Any suggestions?

Pretty sure you're not allowed to do that with toddlers these days.

Remember to put airholes in the box. Toddlers need a regular supply of oxygen.

Dunno, I just let our merrily turn things on an off.

Somewhat brilliantly, at 14 months he appears to have worked out how to record using the TiVo box buttons (we hide the remote). I frequently find episodes of Paw Patrol and Ship Ahoy recorded.

Could you get them in a sideboard, or TV unit? We have ours in a TV unit designed to hold set topbox/router/blue ray etc and wires are straight out the back away from junior. Also blocked the front of the unit with a layer of cardboard when she was a bit more curious.

We found that *everything* had to be moved up onto shelves for a while - out of toddler grasp. We bought a big cupboard/sideboard from IKEA for most of the electronics to go into and TV on top.
We then took a 'teach them not to' approach, rather than lock it up and hope they cannot pick the lock approach.

We just told ours that do anything wrong it was punishable by death.

In all honesty we never had any issues. Just told them not to do it, oddly appeared to work, who would have thought it....
