Is this Moffat? Do you know why it has no ears? The sculptur did nt get paid, so he chopped the ears off
Some great clouds earlier this evening, fortunately they were carrying the rain to the north-east.

There’s what looks like some Mammatus on the edge of this last one.

I’m salivating just looking at the photo! My regular lunch when I’m in Bath - check out The Raven, highly recommended! 👍🏼🫶🏻
How about a vid for a change. Col des Tentes followed by le Cirque de Troumouse with junior today today.
It's worth zooming in and reading the text on AlShalimo's photo which seems to be a tribute to... *don't want another ban*.
Just for context, this is my little apple tree, about a month ago;

It’s now turned very windy, and the weight of the apples, along with being in leaf, was blowing it out of the pot, so I’ve just been on a frantic mission to clear all the apples off of it, to relieve the stress.
Here’s the fairly large half-full bag, about 5-6kg! Not bad for a small tree in a pot. 😄

They’re absolutely lovely apples, too, very juicy, sweet, with a satisfying crunch when you bite into them.

“A nice fixer-upper, quiet location, utilities might be an issue.”

I’ve found today that if you “click” on the pictures it not only makes them bigger, it restores the rich colours and you can scroll left to right and see some more! (On my iPad anyway)…
The view from Woodhouse Lane Car Park, Leeds. What a time to be alive!!

anyone recognise the type of fungus that is?
Finally answered myself... Started following the Woodland Trust on Instagram and a Fungi ID guide came up. It didn't list this, but listed Lion's Mane so I asked ChatGPT to suggest similar fungi but which grew upwards instead. It suggested Coral Fungi (Ramaria, Clavulina, or Clavaria spp.) I think it's most likely to be Ramaria Stricta.
Imagine a photo taken from above of a creamy white toadstool about six inches across, slightly dished with a roughish texture, a mature milkcap I think.
I have a lovely picture of a Sloe Shield bug (AI said it was an invasive Asian bug!). It’s a lovely photo but until the photo loading problems of STW forum are solved you’ll just have to imagine…
