During my early morning walk to work, I saw this bloke with a wheelbarrow, spade etc trundling along, also with him was a dog having a frenzy with a small ball, couldn't quite work the ball 'motion' out till I got closer but it was tied to the dogs collar on about 4ft of string, anway the dog was going mental chasing etc etc, anyway after a while and a fair bit of chewing the ball was stationary and the dog was in poised in attack mode 'Cmon move, Move, MOOVE. MOOOOVE I'm going to have you' anyway obviously the ball didn't move the dog got bored and walked on - GAME ON

Many years ago, we used to have a border collie and, as I'm sure you are aware, they need lots of entertaining.

My mum had one of those retractable washing lines so one day I tied a rubber ring to the end of it. Joe Boy loved it! He would wander outside, jump up the wall, grab the ring and take it down the bottom of the garden for a chew and then just let it go occasionally for a bit of a chase across the garden!

I have a border collie myself and am always on the lookout for things to leave fo rhim to amuse himself with while I'm at work. The retractable washing line sounds genius, will give it a go for sure.
