The NSA is exploiting weak links in Internet security to spy on the entire world

What's the NSA and how could they possibly have the resources to do this?

What's the NSA

The National Security Agency (NSA) is a U.S. intelligence agency responsible for global monitoring, collection, decoding, translation and analysis of information and data for foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes - a discipline known as Signals intelligence.

and how could they possibly have the resources to do this?

Annual budget estimated to be $10.8 billion.

It's a worthwhile cause.

Agreed, I've just donated £20 to the NSA.

Do you think those resources might be adequate?

Got far more important things to think about. Like how my kitchen floor needs a clean.

It is a good job we didn't have the internet in WW2 - can you imagine what would have happened if the Nazis had worked out that they could reclaim their privacy by entering their email address into a website and clicking a button ?

Can you imagine how Hitler would have loved the surveillance capabilities that exist now?

and Churchill, Eisenhower, Stalin, Roosevelt etc. not many can turn down the power of insight.

Take a read of spycatcher for an insight into how many people have been under surveillance over the years.
