Rode into work this morning. 12 miles with about 1000ft of climbing.
Was late so didn't warm up or down and also stopped to help a roadie with a flat tyre and no pump.
So rode harder than I normally would. Had a very busy day at work. Legs feel tired and heavy.
Apart from a few lines of class A's... Any foods or drinks to ease my 1st world drama?
Any quick remedy for tired legs apart from a taxi?
mtfu & hob nobs..
Will butter shortbread do it?
Too late now but eat a decent lunch. Failing that some hobnobs, flapjack type thing to ensure energy later. Once you get going though your legs will probably be fine.
Take it easy on the way home too as you'll probably tire faster. It's a nice day for a bimble.
Banana just before you leave.
[edit]Yes , it is a nice day for a bimble 🙂
cloud that sounds scarily similar to my commute - 12 mile and about 1100ft climb. Except I didn't stop to help the roadie change his tube (seriously I did go past one fixing a puncture). Legs and mind feel heavy and sleepy (got a 3 mth old baby, so not sleeping much at the mo) but I am determined to do the climb on the way home quicker than ever. I can't bring myself to take the easier, shorter, flatter route
zangolin told me choccy milk would stop my legs aching.
he was correct...... 8)
See your mistake was to help the roadie, getting those skinny tyres off is what put you into the red.
commute so far this week 18miles 800ft, 5 times( ie 2 1/2 days), this morning for variety I included a 25% climb rather than the usual 10%,
for some reason my legs aren't happy, solution, "shut up legs".
Additional solution, go for a night ride to make the legs know who is boss..
Final solution curl up and die in a corner of exhaustion!
