What’s going on ??? Love a nice tin of sardines for lunch ! Getting bored of tinned mackerel which funnily enough is reduced everywhere

The sardines are all busy working as extras in some TV documentary about a blue planet?

This is why I have a significant collection of aged sardines.

Aldi and Lidl always seem well stocked. On the preserved fish front - Lidl is one of the few shops that sell pickled anchovies (in the fridge bit, near the crab sticks).

don't panic, i think, I thought there had been period of lower pricing, at least where I am and in morrisons and sainsbury's, so i have assumed there has been a glut. when prices go down people buy them up: hence the shortages, have noticed this, but between deliveries. What times do you get to the shops? Do you want me to post you some tins?!

this is my best guest btw

As above - Aldi - sardines in tommy sauce - pretty good grilled on toast

Sorry the problem is my wife spoiling our two cats with a tin each every 1-2 days. I will let her know of your angst and tell the cats that’s it’s back to kibble time

The amount of uncontrolled fishing in certain parts of the world should there be a surprise? I mean their argument is it's free so fish it to oblivion. The same also happens to other smaller fish.

No small fish, no big fish. Very difficult concept for many to understand.

No small fish, no big fish.

Are there any cardboard boxes?
