Thought I saw something the other day about him doing some big ride for charity. Brings back memories of school holidays spent watching wackaday!

he's brilliant.  On Twitter too. He's just done a huge ride from Manchester to the Camino de Santiago in honour of his brother who sadly died. His Twitter feed is just a stream of positivity.

Bloody good painter too

Do you know what his rates are? Got a bedroom and stairs/landings that need painting and I can't be bothered to do it myself.......

Seriously though Mallets Mallet brings back memories. That's some mileage old Timmy has covered!

Bet you all still remember the wacawave!  I have a great memory of standing on the deck of a cross channel ferry with my brother doing the wacawave to a passing ferry going the other way.... only for 2 kids standing on the deck of that ship to do it back....

Went on holiday to Cornwall as a kid. Made friends with some kids in the hotel for the week.

Two weeks later at home, one of the kids was on Wackaday getting hit by Timmy Mallet.

True story...

(I actually thought Mr Mallet had died years ago for some reason... so happy to see it's not the case)   🙂

Bloody hell, I had! Thanks for that.

Much memories from when there was kids telly in the mornings.

Never met Mallet, but been on one of the shows (not sure if it was Wacaday or Wide Awake Club). In the background at the Natural History Museum with Carol Vorderman doing some "science" bit. Had to do the wacawave.

I used to drink with him back in the Radio Oxford days. His Timmy on the Tranny Club was massive.

Makes note of all who remember him to calculate their ages for later.

Still play mallets mallet with the kids/wife with a pillow/empty pop bottle as the mallet, minutes of fun.

Thanks for this OP, he's brilliant.

It's good to see that riding 4000km since Jan and swimming 3,3k before breakfast will give you the body of a God ha ha.

My friend Matt has it written into his will that "Itsy weeny polka dot bikini" be played at his funeral as one final giggle!

I've been following him for ages, he gets up to all sorts of adventures, seems like a decent bloke. Most of his miles are on his ebike these days.

Jim'll Paint It

"Dear Jim,

Please can you paint: ALAN VS PREDATOR …in a game of Mallet’s Mallet. Having been bonked on the head for slowly repeating whatever Alan said in the first round, Predator has removed Timmy Mallet’s spine."

I was his Ski Guide for a week (maybe 20 years ago)  in Austria when I lived there.

He was such a nice fella, and he honestly hasn’t aged a day in the last 20 years! Incredible.

He's so active because he is playing by his own rules.....

"You mustn't pause. You mustn't hesitate"

"Otherwise you'll get a bump on the head like this... or like this"

Happy Days

Who knew?

I was a bit too old for his TV stuff.

He was good on Piccadilly Radio back in the day, but I've always  wrongly assumed all DJ's apart from Annie Nightingale were absolute ****ers.

Sorry.

Timmy has had a new bike now and is up jockland on an adventure to find a bridge.

He's such a lovely guy, compelling and entertaining. Surprised we haven't seen him on the BB house or in the Jungle... maybe he's got some integrity!

He just likes working. Celebrity isn't too far from some of his kids shows. If you talk about lack of integrity check out Klaus Kinski's back catalogue.

I wonder how he supports himself, must be reasonably wealthy as he has a pool. Maybe he's just very frugal.

Bit of tv, some appearances and selling some art. He comes across as a nice guy so fair play to him.

He is, surpised his YouTube channel has so little views comapred to some of the shite you see on there.

I wonder how he supports himself, must be reasonably wealthy as he has a pool. Maybe he’s just very frugal.

I imagine at the height of his career and then the height of his nostalga period he would have made a few quid out of appearing at Universities, pubs & clubs etc getting his photo taken with drunken students.

It’s nice to see someone from 80s TV who didn’t turn out to be a sex offender.

I met him once in the lobby of the national portrait gallery. We were installing some electrical equipment and he stopped and had a very civil chat with us. Seemed decent.
