Driving along the M56, when a Chav in his 1.6 Honda Civic with Token un-impressed girlfriend decides to undertake me, over take another car in front then cut across two lanes to exit the motorway to then jump the red light at the top of the sliproad all at speeds in excess of the national speed limit!

Also, on the same stretch of motorway, Guy in a BMW (you know the type) joins the carriageway, I move into middle lane to allow him to merge, we're side-by-side when he decides to try to merge INTO me!

HONK HONK, FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH, EXPLETIVES

he responds with a two flashes of his hazards (I hope to say sorry)!

Guy in a BMW (you know the type)

Are they the same as the Mercedes types or slightly different?

Balding, probably a double-glazing salesman, generally has some kind of contraption glued to their head I believe they call a mobile phone!

Times when you wish the Police were watching

Every day when I get some d**khead that objects to me observing the clearly signed 50 limit (on a two-lane dual-carriageway) and instead of just overtaking me in the outside lane, lets me know of his objection by driving up my arse, flashing his lights then overtaking and pulling in just ahead of my bonnet.

WTF is all that about?

Also not sure of the type...

And your explanation:

Balding, probably a double-glazing salesman, generally has some kind of contraption glued to their head I believe they call a mobile phone!

Is too specific TBH.

I suppose his indicators were disabled as well?

I hope you smile & wave vigorously at him as he comes past, as if he's an old acquaintance??
I find they love that!!

So if the honda driver undertook you why hadnt you pulled in behind the first car and into the inside lane and let honda boy past, also how would you see thered light on the exit slip, if you where blocking the middle lane.

I was in the process of over taking a car in the granny lane. I could see the top of the slip because I hadn't passed it when the Honda boy got to the top of it - he was speeding (well in excess of 90 mph when he passed me!)

yes, wrong usage of the synonym. I meant I was over taking a car in the 'slow' lane and Honda chav sneeked through the gap I was closing.

So your car is now equipped with speed detection radar, also if he wanted to pass you and you where blocking the midle lane, and doing what appeared to be 70 mph,on your speedo, he would have to travel faster to overtake woulfdnt he, and the granny lane is the inside lane, i presume, all lanes are equal on a motorway, they all go the same direction, and the outer lanes can be used for overtaking.

I love these threads, me.

Balding, probably a double-glazing salesman, generally has some kind of contraption glued to their head I believe they call a mobile phone!

Does this mean I can't buy a BMW simply because of my blonde flowing locks and I don't sell double-glazing shite?

Oo oo, is it a 4 year old 3.2l Audi TT that needs a new alternator? Might be your Dad's? No? Oo oo, is it a BMW 335d touring... No? Oh I give up then, that's exhausted my list of Forum 'supercars' 🙂

So you were in lane 2, gaining on a car in lane 1, when another car undertook you in lane 1, then pulled across in to lane 2 in front of you ?

It's times like this you want Land Rover Defender with a a 3.9efi Range Rover engine and dents on every panel. 😉
Keep man eye on your left hand mirror and crank it up a notch so there just isn't quite enough room to get through. 😀
