I changed to First Utility about a year ago. Seem to be paying a lot less with them compared to EDF.

eon did me a really good deal on combined gas/elec and slammed the DirectDebit down without being asked, which was nice 🙂

Used this and switched to NPower last month. However everyone I have spoken to about it since has said that NPower don't have a good reputation at all!

I just moved to Eon through the "Big Community Switch" thing they did in Croydon. It reckons i'll save £30 a month on dual fuel tariff.
I was British Gas dual fuel before. Eon were brilliant throughout the changeover.

*declares interest*

E.ON are cheapest of the big 6 at the moment, and are really focussed on everything to do with customer service. You can change over in 17 days (14 of which are the statutory cooling off period).

Ovo were good for me and (supposedly though my quick investigation seems to back it up) more ethical than the bigger companies.

Ovo fan here, cheap, decent customer service, very upfront in offering better tariffs or fixing, complete online management and (though probably copied by everyone now) an app that includes direct meter reading submission.

EDIT: Should add - electricity only here. Dual fuels might be better elsewhere.

Great will have a look at those,
I find that on price comparison sites not all deals come up, so need to look around on more than one site and of course asking on cycling forums 🙂
