We used to use them at Scout camps and I think they look lush and I love the smell and noise.

Paraffin Porn..... 😯

Must admit used to love the sound of my dad's primus stove roaring away, while it was pissing down outside when camping.

Still have mine in the attic, trouble is you cannot by paraffin by the pint any more...maybe in scotland you can 😉

The not so shiny ones get me going too... the scout ones were always beaten up and that was part of the charm.

Funny that. Im renovating an old house and have just bought one as we've removed all the wiring etc.
Using the heating oil in them - a little fiddly, but once you get the knack they're incredible. And you can still easily buy all the spare parts you could ever need.

When I was in scouts they used to come in a wooden box with pull up front. I cant seem to find one of these anywhere though. Any ideas?
