Agreed. I expect he'll turn up dead by his own hand somewhere.

Yep; while I'm always prepared to give the benefit of the doubt, history shows that, sadly, all too often, it's someone known to the victim. Tragedy.

What does he have 'previous' for (his word, not mine)? So sad that someone could do something so evil at all let alone to a family member. Horrific what goes on behind closed doors sometimes.

OK. There's something very wrong here;

Mr Hazell previously went out with Tia's mother Natalie Sharp, 30, and is now living with the girl's grandmother Christine.

Seriously, WTF?

Dealing crack and being caught in posession of a machete.
Sounds like a lovely fella!

Within 6 hrs of a child going missing they are dead and normally by someone they knew. Awful story hope they catch him soon.

'depressingly familiar' was the exact phrase i used earlier when discussing this with mrs martymac.
i dont understand how people can do things like this to children.
or adults, actually.

When I read a quotation from him stating "she was always eating sausage rolls", it became difficult to not suspect the step-grandfather.

"She is always eating sausage rolls."

"She was always eating sausage rolls."

Nothing proven yet though.

Police had a good chat with him but seemed to think he was OK, unfortunately psychopaths tend to be good liars.

Don't fancy his chances much if her uncle and friends find him.

I had money on the uncle being the "one who done it". In 95% of these cases it's always someone close to the family.

Have we had a trial and conviction yet? It sounds as if we have.

The filth will have had a pretty good idea of who it was and would've likely created/used the media coverage to see how the family members acted, much like with the Matthews a few years ago. Probably used behavioural psychologists to watch them at the press conferences and on the TV too. The fuzz aren't always as stupid as you might think.

It's a bit of a leap to say that someone who once sold a few drugs has a greater propensity for child murder, I'm sure you'll agree....

No shit Sherlock. (Feel free to notice the use of Sherlock and his relationship with the [s]police[/s] fuzz).
*This is crap, having to explain myself so I don't upset/offend anyone, the humour is kind of lost.*

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but didn't I see a report a couple of days ago that the police had searched the house? So how come they found a body the second time? I know I can never find my phone/keys/whatever, but a body is a little easier surely?

Like other non trained people without any accountability mrs captain slow and myself have been pointing at the step grandad from the beginning, although catching him earlier wouldn't have helped the poor kid...

Incredibly sad, it does have a deeply depressing overtone.

Young girl spending disproportionate time with grandparent.

Where is the mother and a stable family network.

Like others have said I might be way off the mark but it looks ......... Well I guess I'll keep my real view to myself

What's wrong with that?
Looking at the age range of 45-31-12, I'd say the mother wasn't well enough equipped for the job and passed responsibility to the grandmother. Whether the grandmother was prepared for the job is another question. Natalie Sharp is also a victim in this.

We can hypothesise that he's the guilty person then try to support or break that hypothesis.

So her body was found in the loft, it's hard to carry a body into the loft so she went up alive or the killer is a strong chap or didn't work alone?
