living in deepest Berkshire the last thing i expected was a 10 minute thunder storm last night! Woke at 3 after a thunder clap followed by 3 more flashes and bangs. Its January. Very odd.

Unusual but not odd. We've had very mild weather then a sudden cold spell ideal receipe for thunder.

yeah appeared to go on for about 10mins @3ish
decided not to ride the regular commute on the back of the persistant rain - standing water this morning
