So, I just finished listening to a podcast regarding the tale of Lake City Quiet Pills. Whether its true or not I don't care, because I was riveted to it nonetheless.
Can anyone think of, or recommend, podcasts or documentaries in a similar vein? Helps night shifts fly doing boring jobs. Thanks.

Tunnel 29, a BBC podcast about a series of attempted escapes across the Berlin Wall. 10 x 15 min episodes. Worth listening to them all.
EDIT: doh, they're true FWIW
I thought you were talking about this fantasy
Listen mate; if anyone made any kind of racist comment in any pub I drink in, they’d be needing to find somewhere else to drink. End of.
Not a podcast but I loved Gavin Menzies' book 1421: The Year China Discovered the World. It's absolute horse shit, but it's a great story, makes a fascinating alternative history and I kind of wish it were true.
The Lovecraft investigations, another BBC one. Absolutely loved it.
Weird kind of scifi/thriller/mystery thing, struggling to categorise it but highly recommended

This.
My favourite gossip mongers is the magic disappearing pen story
I thought this was a documentary based on my internet and public persona
