I had a foot-meets-treestump / body-meets-terra-firma incident on Sept 19th. The love handle bruising was spectacular and, now, three months on there is still a patch of sore red marking on the skin.

I reckon this is my best bruise ever. Anybody got anything similar?

I had a massive lump and shin bruise that has morphed into a permanent bruise/varicose vein.

Eventually went to the GP about it a couple of years ago, and after looking at the state of my poor shins after years of BMX and flat pedal abuse, she kind of shrugged and said she was surprised it wasn't worse.

Biggest bruise I've ever had. From one of the slowest crashes I've ever had back in September.

I had over 300ml of fluid drained by syringe from the hip where the bruising/ swelling was.

I also had one of K Kardashian's buttocks for a few weeks.

Ran my last event in February, 30 mile ultra, was very muddy, some proper ankle deep stuff.

No injuries at the time, but the area below my right ankle swelled up and was sore to touch next morning. It's never really went away, I'm guessing all the uneven/soft ground strained ligaments.

Kept running since, as it's not something I feel running, but this probably hasn't helped!.

Aye, that's him. Only time I feel it is if my walking boots are a bit tight now, quite bizarre.

^ Also had the Peroneal tendon strain. Had a lump there for months on end. Thought it was your normal haematoma but was hard to the touch and was a stubborn bugger.

@peaslaker
It wouldn't hurt to get a GP to check it out?

I had a quick check but most of mine are not acceptable to show under the new internet rules. Sorry to disappoint.

I think this one might be okay as it only shows the blister that went from where the plaster is right back to the black bit where my foot had started to rot (didn't smell nice) and you can see some great baseball stitching over the main cut. The red bit over the stiches is just raw flesh with no skin as that was also part of the stretch blister that they removed during surgery. The stretch blister is basically where your body rips itself away from the skin and is quite nasty
