3 of the threads I've commented on have ended up being locked.

To be fair, on one of them, you were the subject of abuse as you were being pretty rude repeatedly questioning someone's professional integrity. To the extent of demanding 'proof' (bit like Trump demanding Obama's birth cert). You went too far IMO hence the 'feedback' you received.

We police ourselves very well, I think.

Yeah, sure, there's no rules - but that didn't stop kaesae being constantly modded, ie banned and having threads closed. There is little doubt imo that this was because his opinions were considered to be too outrageous.

And it was considered perfectly acceptable to insult, ridicule, and verbally abuse, kaesae. In fact some people still regularly insult kaesae despite the fact that he hasn't posted for several months.

So I wouldn't get too hung up on what the rules say - they are clearly hugely flexible.

No idea why anyone was banned, and I don't really care, my point is that saying "he wasn't banned for that" and "we won't discuss the reasons for bannings" are kinda contradictory statements....

Countering incorrect assumptions is not the same as discussing the reasons why. There's no hypocrisy and I'm tired of this now - it's friday and I'm going home to drink a beer away from the internets.
