The shelves, clothes rail and the divider - nothing I've got is 'nice clobber'...it is functional but nothing more.

Paul Smith suit, matched with a Vivian Westwood Money shirt and my favourite Cheaney shoes. Suit hasn’t had an outing for some time! I can still fit in it now I’m back training though. i also have a worn once Moss Bros morning suit. Needs a trip to Ascot really.

The only real high quality item I have in my wardrobe is a 3/4 length Burberry coat. It's a total one off made just for me after I got chance to go to the factory where they are made. They made it to measure and I got to choose a custom lining (the coat I chose is a water resistant one that came with a silk type lining usually but I chose a warmer woollen lining).

I paid about a tenth of retail price and it's still probably the most expensive item in my wardrobe 😎

As of this afternoon, a VELVET dinner jacket. Not just that, a Hugo Boss VELVET dinner jacket. Worn a claimed once (it's mint) and bought on Vinted for £40. RRP is £500. Came in an amazing Hugo Boss suit bag too. I feel dead posh.

I am Hugh Hefner and I claim my own £5.

2nd and 3rd on the list are an irrelevance compared to my VELVET dinner jacket.

A kilner of sloe gin, some unopened bargains from CRC among all the 1990’s clobber (my fashion tastes seem to be stuck in my 20’s, I am a sorry sight).

Not in my wardrobe - more of a cupboard under the stairs thing - but a bit of rare Italian made Filson Sherpa-line Parka. Bargain ebay find posted that I didn't realise was an intenational seller - came from Ukraine not long before everything went to shit. Wouldn't have known anything about them but a German photographer I worked with left his one in my van once - really liked so took a snap of the label before posting it back to him so I could get one for myself only to find they were unobtainium. Must have saved the search as years later I got an ebay notification and snapped it up.

In fact all the best bits in my wardrobe are Ebay finds - a thick wooden  1970s Woolrich Alaskan shirt and a pair of Huit Jeans that were seemingly unworn

Got my kilt when I was 18. Worn it to numerous marriages, my graduation, out clubbing loads, got married in it. I had to get it taken in in my early 20s. Not got it taken back out to it's original size in my 40s. RoseKilts.com in Edinburgh if anyone cares.
Not sure what numbers 2 & 3 would be.

Funkette loves playing in the bottom of our wardrobe so, depending on time of day, her or whatever toys or books she has left in there.

Not in the same league as some above, but probably a Patagonia Fjord insulated overshirt*, a Castelli Perfettto ROS, and some old Howies jeans I've just had repaired after a couple of years out of circulation.

*I've got a couple of regular Fjord flannel shirts, which I got a couple of years ago to replace two more that wore out after about twenty years. I'd always fancied one of the insulated ones and finally treated myself when they were reduced in the new year. Getting nice clothes just because I like them is rare for me!

I've got a bit of an addiction to clothes from Private White VC. Look forward to it raining so I can wear the ventile mac.

My wedding suit was from Richard James in Saville Row. It's a beautiful thing.

Funnily though first item I reach for is a Howie's sweatshirt that is falling apart. Mrs doesn't agree that sweatshirts look better as they age. Fear one day she'll bin it when I'm not looking.

A vintage Kobe Bryant basketball jersey (with letters and numbers stitched on, rather than printed)

A Rapha hoodie

A pair of Nike AF1s in white, with gum soles and dark green swoosh

There are more expensive items in there, but those are the three I like best

I currently own a pair of black Loakes boots. I also have a custom tailored black double-breasted wool coat, and both a Jack Wolfskin down-filled jacket as well as a Helly Hansen rain jacket that do the job.

But still; leather jackets and jeans...they belong together, y'know? On the Waterfront, Giant...etc etc. It's like saying you like 3 piece suits, and wearing just the jacket and waistcoat

Lots of things that are quite nice, a North Face Nuptse jacket and gilet I bought with a work lottery win share, when they first came on the market, and my Jöttnar Fenrir that I bought early on in their end of season sale, for about half what they are now. Possibly the best item is my old leather bike jacket that I had Jamie Hewlett, Brett Ewinns and Philip Bond draw their respective comic book characters in - just the Tank Girl sketch makes it worth probably ten, twenty times what I paid for the jacket!

Tailor made suit jacket I got for my 21st (trousers long since dead)

A pair of Paul Smith moccasin style driving shoes I bought in 2001 … not perhaps realising they’re pointless even if they are beautiful.

A full length Ted Baker woolen jacket  I bought for standing on cold station platforms… haven’t worn it for at least 16 years when I lived in a place almost cold enough to bother.

some old Howies jeans I’ve just had repaired after a couple of years out of circulation.

Actually wearing a pair of Howies cords that I bought in 2012 and waited about five years for my wife to repair because they are my favourite pair ever.

Cool thread.

Ralph Lauren tweed jacket - I know you wouldn't necessarily think of RL for tweed, but it's beautiful and a real pleasure to wear.

Howies lined cord trousers in a rust brown colour - perfect for winter.

Some Clarks Chelsea boots in a cool greeny-brown colour which look and feel perfect for me.

Items selected on the basis of the things I love the most, not what's most posh or expensive.

And no, I wouldn't wear them all together 😀

My silk wedding dress (stored in tissue in a cardboard box)
A Laura Ashley fully lined winter woollen coat, (saved up for and bought in 1993ish)
A few pairs of good quality leather shoes and boots (not too many and I couldn't choose which is a favourite pair).

My old dress number one's uniform (7 Para RHA), far too small now, but just a reminder that sits there to remind me i wasn't always a chubby middle-aged bloke.

Gieves and Hawkes suit, taken to a tailor to fit my rugby lad shape correctly, and still looks good after 12 years.

A pair of Rapha jeans, don't own any of their cycling gear, but these jeans have been ace, refuse to die and i have a feeling i bought them second hand in first place.

I love my Ralph Lauren cord jacket which is also very un-RL. Its a lovely jacket but I love it more because my daughters, who are charity shop demons, found it and its cost the grand sum of 10 quid. A quick google showed that its a good few hundred quids worth and had clearly never been worn
