Stuff where you think;

"actually, maybe it's too personal or in poor taste or just not actually that interesting"

Does it happen often?

(it's ok hora, you're exempt)

This was prompted by a video I just saw via twitter of someone setting themselves on fire whilst twerking (yes, I know). She was clearly alright afterwards or she wouldn't have posted it but I thought 'she was clearly shit scared at the time and should I encourage others to laugh at her?'

Just one more reason why you'll never catch me twerking. Awesome vid that should be used in the style of a public information film.

I did wonder if it was a set-up to start with.

It's daylight, yet she has candles lit and an open bottle of spirits on the table. Then I thought - no ones going to deliberately land on that much glass in a t-shirt.

If it's any consolation, she uploaded the video herself and is fine.

I tried making a sexy twerk video for my boyfriend and things got a little too hot 🙂

Right, I'm out of here...

I pretty much veto all ideas I have for threads, ever. Unless they are 'oooh, what size grommet for x and y' type threads.

In the cold light of reflection, most of my ideas seem either a bit boring TBH, or I can immediately predict the typical STW response to an opinion expressed (that does not fit the STW hive-mind paradigm), so most of the time I don't bother.

Twerking, on the other hand... 😉

what the hell is twerking

falling backwards onto a fire hazard whilst waving your hips about like you have an invisible hula hoop around your waist.

Or something.

It's a dance you do with your ass. It has become a popular topic due to Miley Cyrus doing it at the VMAs. In the process, possibly, breaking her dad's achey breaky heart.

Twerk:

1) Rhythmically gyrate the lower fleshy extremities in a lascivious manner

2) Where Yorkshire people go to earn money

I would never start a thread about two little boys, even though my brother and I used to sing it at school concerts.

I want to start a thread about cats,but I won't.

I thought about starting a thread investigating the reason why people post such a lot of nonsense on internet forums ,and if it could be used
as a form of analysis ,but I didn't post .

I've had to veto a few er, emotional things lately. Not sure whether I'd get the piss ripped or sympathy. Or which one would cheer me up.

In future I will seek out twerking fails 😆

I hope no one tells him it might blow up in his face.

Yes there are plenty of things that I could post, but don't. To name them would rather defeat the object of not publicising them.

Should starting threads that you don't start, be illegal?

And more to the point - how is it possible?

Myself, I'd turn 360 degrees and walk away if I was ever tempted.

Never go back to a lit achey breaky heart.

Hmm. I think sometimes, when it's obvious the OP has an strong emotional investment in a thread, the STW universe has a way of pulling itself into alignment and doing the right thing.

...but then there is no accounting for some miscreants.

I've never gone to start a thread and thought better of it but i often go to reply to one and decided that it was either in poor taste, unnecessarily offensive or added nothing to the discussion.

I probably delete about a 10-15% of what i actually write.
