I am building one of these and need to work out what colour it should be.

I am thinking of a metallic burgandy or perhaps a Renault Alpine blue oir perhaps Ecosse racing blue.

All thoughts welcome.

If any of you clever graphic people can colour in the picture in various colours that would help me visualize it. Ideally with a colour dial that I can spin round and watch the car change colour at the same time. Moon on a stick would also be welcome

Anyway, pics of other pretty cars in various colours welcome. I was thinking possibly Subaru mica blue but worried it will look wrong on the period car.

Help me, I only get one chance to get it right.

I presume it'a Jag copy...so BRG colludes in/emphasises the fakeness, something else says "fair cop".

It looks so of that era though, something classic like Ecosse blue I'd say.

If you paint that in Gulf/Delahay blue it'll look like Thomas the Tank Engine.
White is too Chapparal.

Needs something a bit, you know, different.
Paint it pink and market it as a sex toy for whales, or a nice Fiat urine green.

Seriously, a nice Jag pale yellow, or a metallic Champagne.
It'll look great.

I've seen that before (and been told by the missus NO!) ebay, pistonheads?

Ohh and brooklands green, like BRG, but you get to out geek people when they get it wrong. That and BRG was never one defined colour, loads of brit teams made green cars in various shades of green.

Recognising copyright, I will remove the image if wca asks me to if it is thought that the changes are in any way detrimental to the original photo. 😐

Play with the design thing at Bus Selecta. No, it's not your car model, but it is awesome!

Edited to say that the 550 Spider you can choose under 'Model' is kinda close (not that it's what's in the picture below)...)

I do actually like stripes, so this is a bit more serious.
This colour

With a couple of these stripes in black.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party, Monday is a WoW raiding night so I was working on the above in between boss attempts. Didn't get Heroic Hagara down, but I did get my legendary daggers. Bet you're jealous.

Can we get back to the point that a man that nearly burned down his garage making a torch is going to be building a car that, presumambly, will be used on the open road where there will be, presumably, other people?

*makes mental note to steer clear of Hampshire*

As soon as I saw the shape I thought of a sort of 50's Italian matt-pale blue.
