I enjoyed the "Favourite painting" thread of a couple of months ago. Time for some more art, this time thought provoking / bizarre art that you like.
I will start with Mark Ryden

And this is where Gaga got the meat dress idea

Would it be considered unimaginative for me to suggest Escher ?

So many to choose from. I like the simplicity of this one.

I adore Hoppers Nighthawks, everytime I see it I imagine what the 4 people are doing, saying, where are they going, where have they been etc.

Nice thread, I'll give it some thought, but just for fasthaggis, here's a photo of my very own Hewlett, along with Philip Bond and Brett Emmins, drawn on the lining of a leather bike jacket:

After he'd drawn it, Jamie studied it for a few seconds, then said, "mmmm, nice eye!"
It was done at a Bristol comic shop, Forever People, on a Deadline signing tour. Jacket's a bit tatty, but I'll never get rid of it. 😀

Ok, here's possibly one of my favourite pieces of art, that is bizarre, in and of itself, and has quite a story with its creator, who was as mad as a bag of owls:
