been viewing various forums where PB links are buggered due to their recent change to policy ruining many a good thread. Seen and tried a number of add ons etc to try and bring them back to life but not had much success. Just wondered if anyone had found a solution that works well?
thanks
Bill

I think the OP is looking for a solution to viewing images on photobucket, not storing his own images.
I also want to find a solution, so would be very interested in an add-on for chrome or firefox that works.
Just seen one for Chrome, that says -
This extension should make photobucket embeds work for all accounts across all websites.
It does this by looking at image embeds and changing the referer.
Be pretty clever to be able to do that... I can't test on work laptop.
BikeMike is correct ..I want to view old threads that no longer have images displaying because of the change ( not my own)
I'll test the Chrome ones later - the image I posted on this thread will be a good test as it's borrowed from someone else's account.
Ah not aware of that as I rarely use chrome.
Here kaiser - first one I tried with Chrome worked perfectly. I can now see the mating slugs in this thread.
It's called "Photobucket Embedded Image Fix" by Jesse Evers
thanks for that. I have tried various different ones including that and perhaps sometimes I get misled in to thinking they are not working when I come across images which may actually have been removed by the owners.
FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install.
Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the top right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again.
I had one on chrome it worked for a while but seems to have stopped working. guessing photobucket changesd something to stop the work around
The one I installed works on this thread too
nice.
