Macdonald Hotels are backing out of a longstanding agreement with the local community regarding access to the swimming pool at the Highland Resort.

If you are thinking of using the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort then the Aviemore residents would really appreciate it if you took your custom to any of the other outstanding accomodation and leisure providers in the area.

Yes. The 'Not-quite-so-big Society'. The council decided to outsource leisure services and entered into an agreement with a private provider, then decided not to renew the contract.

We usually go to Coylumbridge Hilton to use their pool. They dont mind if you turn up in your muddy riding gear. 😀

That's not good news for the locals but I'm wondering why blame should be apportioned to MAHR. Surely it is up to the council to provide the facilities required by the local community?

I guess Aviemore residents who run businesses could offer a reciprocal agreement on withdrawal of services to the MacDonald resort.

Good to see someone else who doesn't let their religious beliefs stand in the way of shafting the local community 🙁
