Is this turning into a whisky thread or a 'how dippy is the council' thread?
In May 2012, especially for SSDT week, the council in Fort William had the road up at the turnoff for Mallaig, the year before they had it up at Onich both causing major bovver!
Whoever manages road repairs up there is a dipstick.
Anyway, I'm off to Islay in two weeks & I'll be bringing some whisky back. (the roads on Islay are atrocious BTW)

Meh, it seems they are lax in arriving and keen to depart, and having had butts kicked by villagers via social media and BBC website, the work (that was a week) is to be done in two days.
