It appeares whenever I click on the safari seach bar. Its pointless and I can't seem to banish it...

Goto bookmarks, favourites. Click edit and delete them all 🙂

They're your favourites, so it does serve a purpose I suppose. No idea if you can get rid of it or not, but I use Chrome instead. Much better!

Go to bookmarks > favourites and delete them. Leave the favourites empty and I don't think you will see the screen. I've not checked whether there is a setting you can change.

I hate that screen too, almost as much as the zooming in and out of every flippin app.

Go to settings...

Safari....

Favourites.....

Then select untitled folder.

You just get a blank screen.

Ok just tried it, won't let me intellect the favorites tick box.

Just deleted all the favourites and you're left with an empty screen.

I'd rather it just be bookmarks as usual, then the page I was viewing stays where it is when I click on the address bar, really don't want /need this screen.
